Power Bank and 2B

I use Power Bank and boost DC-DC converter from 5 to 12 volts with my stimulator 2B. It is very convenient to go on a picnic and fry "sausage" and "eggs". This is much more powerful than using 9 volt batteries.
Does anyone else use such technology?

I'm confused, wouldn't the 2b limit the power regardless of what you feed it?

Hey,

thanks for the advice. I got the parts and it works great. Now I have more freedom of movement. :)

It does to keep it within safety limits.

I just ordered today a power bank with 12V (no step up needed). Honestly, quite expensive, but I think it should rock and it also could be used as Notebook-Powerbank.

XTPower® MP-50000 DC 52800mAh - 2 USB bis 2.1/1A und DC 9V/12V/16V/19V/20V max.

How long can you run a 2B on it without the power going down?

At 52800mAh capacity running at 12v on Hi-Power I would guesstimate around 25 hours of use between charges.

That's based on my own 12v powerbank: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=10054&p=16259#p16198

Powerbank is not the same as a powerbank

Cheap powerbanks are just a special form of battery.

Better devices keep the output voltage continous even if the battery in the powerbank is slowly draining.

I noticed that 2B always looks a little weaker when it comest with the battery. Operated via the 12Volt port and power supply, the thing has more power.
That's why I think the use of a good powerbank for the outdoors is very useful.

The recommendation from arig0211 seems to be a good choice, as is the thing from cbtslavecom.

How long does such a powerbank last?
As soon as it fits in the work and the laboratory space is free, I will determine the current flow at the 12V socket when 2B is working. However, given the current situation, this may take a while ...

If someone already knows the max. Ampere on the 12V input knows (maybe the manufacturer from a factory test?), I can compare it with the mAh (mAh is a product of current flow and time)

Although you have to know about the accu, because simple lead batteries behave differently than a lithium-ion accu

The powerbank has a safety against short circuits. I think that’s quite important.

25h would be nice :D
