Which player do you use.

Post by BiFapChap »

I play my stimfiles from my computer, an iMAC and use Audacity as the player. This way I can get some idea about what the file is just about to do to me. My compter audio uses amplified speakers and I use the speakers headphone socket to connect to my 2B. I sometimes wonder if this may be producing too much input power to the 2B. What do others use to playback their stimfiles,? software etc.

Personally I use my Iphone that I don't use anymore. I feel that I have better control over the output and I don't end up with unpleasant jolts.

I mainly use a cheap mp3 player I bought from Amazon. I tried my PC but for some reason when playing audio I would only get one channel working properly. I'm not sure why but using the mp3 player is fine and it all works correctly.

It's important to focus on the erotic sensations to get the best from estim, and NOT your stimming equipment. This means removing all distractions (with the possible exception of watching porn because that can add to your experience). For this reason IMHO a dedicated MP3 player is the best option for your Stereo stimfiles because it offers direct handheld control without the distraction of a computer screen. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=10063

Using a smartphone is another good option but remember to put the device into 'airline mode' to prevent the interruption of audio alerts that will be felt as uncomfortable jolts.

initially I had audio to 2B via 3Euro USB dongle
did - but I soon noticed that this is not a good thing. The quality is sufficient for the human ear, but 2B wants a certain basic quality ... Directly from the ASUS-XONA sound card, it got much better. Due to the difficuld Kable , I tried it out for onliy the one time with the HIFI system - the originally hard current surges "suddenly"stimulated properly. In general, the stereo function is not necessarily my faforit.

Maybe not a concrete answer, but one direction

I also use my extra Iphone 6 Plus. I use it with electron and files I have downloaded to my google drive. It does a wonderful job. Electron is a good option with this setup to as it does a great job running it.
My computer audio card just does not seem to drive any stim box I have hooked to it very well at all. But it is the one thing I have not upgraded in the computer yet. So that may be the reason.
I also use the Iphone to connect the computer to the internet with HOT SPOT while I am stimming and it does a wonderful job running both at the same time. But yes set it on silent or you will get a jolt that will send you to the ceiling and blow the mood. Unless you are into that kind of thing.

I was going to get a dedicated MP3 player for stim but hell, an Ipod is already built into an Iphone so why buy another device I do not need.....

I've been toying with the idea of having a dedicated MP3 player but for now using VLC and changing the audio device away from the default (to avoid any shocking notifications).
my PCs onboard soundcard seems to do a decent job but I dont have anything to compare it to

I have a similar setup to you on my PC: sound on the PC motherboard and an additional soundcard, routing everything through one and keeping the other solely for SmartStim (online tone player) purposes. It has the advantage that I can stim through one and have the other available if I want porn with a soundtrack or binaural beats. I've downloaded all my mp3 files to a spare Android phone (with all notifications silenced), so basically I'm using that as an MP3 player, but it also has the advantage that I can stream stim tracks from Bandcamp, Google Drive and other sources on that.
