Tip: Stand for 2B

Post by Luc »

I bought a 2B a few months ago, after having used the ET312B for several years, and I am very pleased with the performance. However, one aspect of the 2B had been bothering me every time when using it: the placement of the connection of the power plug, which makes it impossible when connected to the mains to put the device upright or inclined, and as a result making it difficult to read the display when laying down on bed next to it.

Recently I found a cheap but perfect solution for this: the AmazonBasics tablet stand, on which the 2B can be put inclined or in upright position and which just offers enough space for the power plug below it. You can find this product on any Amazon website, this is a link to the stand in the UK store:

My variation on the same theme, I can produce these, laser cut from Medite or Acrylic if anyone is interested. Two different angles as shown, upright or laid back.

Wow that’s a really practical idea. Mostly I’ve balanced the 2B on the edge of the bed, but having a proper stand would make it more stable. Thanks.

I've been thinking of making one as project #2 after I receive the 2B.

I just use my phone/tablet stand as mentioned in OP, it has a hole in the bottom for a charger and it swivels to whatever angle I need to see.

It looks to me from the pictures like the lower grab rails are way too short for a 2B?
