2B universal power supply- must have?

Post by Stahlhart »

Hi,

yesterday I had my second session with the 2B, at some point, I noticed, that it isn’t get really stronger, when I turn the knob over 60%.
The battery was shown as half full.
At one point I had the idea, that the battery is to weak and changed it, holy moly, what a difference!
The power was really much stronger now and I had a great session, my body was shaking, it was awesome, unfortunately didn’t reached a HFO.
After that, I can’t wait get the power supply, in my opinion it should be already with the power box.
A weak battery can change everything a lot.

DEFINITELY a must-have, an essential accessory IMHO. It stabilizes the power input and saves a fortune on batteries. Best of all you get a 30% power boost running on 12v making the 2B the most powerful box on the market. Boy, do I *love* that extra power! :o

I agree 100% with Stimaddict. The only time you should consider running the 2B on battery power is when mains power is not available, e.g. if you're "out and about" or want to stim while walking around. Otherwise, it's like driving a Ferrari with the top speed limited to 30.

Absolutely agree! After just a couple of sessions there is just not enough power in the battery to do anything really.

Going from slightly flat batteries to the power supply will blow your mind!

I absolutely agree!

But don't use a universal power supply, use the original one. Only then can you be sure that it fits the 2B (from the connection) and that it is safe.

Here's why you should NEVER use a cheap Chinese PSU...

So glad I bought the 2B accessory pack when I purchased my 2B. Running on batteries is only really a last resort, or for when your mobile ;)

It doesn't have to be as spectacular as the Post on Stimaddict's Youtube.
Inexpensive power supplies often only have a low-budget structure - it may well be that the voltage is only throttled and not necessarily galvanically isolated - with unfavorable constellations it could then happen that you simply get a lethal dose of mains voltage.

Cheap power packs can also damage the 2B ... The original from E-Stim is definitely recommended for non-specialists. 8-)

The only side effect of mains operation is that you get used to the high energy level over time and when you have to work with a battery, you hardly notice anything of the stimulation ...

I've pretty much exclusively used the power supply. The 9v option doesn't give much response after you've tried the power supply.

However, I can also say that anything over 40 actually seems like a decline than an increase in power.

All stim boxes have a finite limit of the power they can put out. When you reach the 2B's power limit don't turn your box up any higher. At that "maxed-out" point reducing the power on one channel will increase it on the other.

The numbers shown in the LCD for power/intensity are relative - i.e. they depend on which mode you are using along with electrode type, size and positioning. For example 40 in 'Waterfall' mode feels similar in power to 25 in 'Throb'.
