The Join command does not function in the current firmware versions; it's one reason why my Windows/Mac app simulates it.

Join mode on the box works just fine - it's just that the serial command seems to be ignored.

Hi MFX this looks very interesting!

I'm in the early stages of building a control system for the 2B and a shockspot (at the same time). I haven't yet started on the 2B part... I don't suppose you'd be interested in collaborating on this?
