lithium rechageable 9v

Post by Ronfire7 »

I was wondering if anyone is using the lithium rechargeable in the Pebble?
If so how well do they work? Any reduction in bower output? Do they fit ok?

I had that same thought and tried it myself. When I tried to use the fully charged lithium battery in my Pebble it didn’t work. I can’t recall if the lights came on or not, but there was no power output anyways. Not very “stimulating” at all.

It could have been because it was a cheap battery from Amazon, or some technical limitation. Regardless, it didn’t work for me when I tried it.

I think I read some place that the Pebble does not like the slightly higher voltage of the lithium batteries, just wondering if other have tried it and works, Would sure save on buying batteries. I understand the 2B has no issues with them.

I have been using the Li-Ion rechargeable 9v batteries 650 mah that have 8.4 volts. When I turn on the Pebble it shows the battery at 3/4, have run it 2 sessions running both channels around 3 hours total and still shows over 1/2. Still puts out more power than I can take.

You can try to use 5v power bank with 5 to 9 boost cable like this:

Wow, this booster approach works really well, Im using it in conjunction with this power bank:

and the booster is this one:

It really changes my thoughts on the usability of the Pebble. The 2B is still my main guy, but Ive had a couple of HFOs just with the Pebble since I adopted this idea, and have also been using the Pebble in conjunction with the 2B to very good effect.

I found some 1300ma lithium batteries that work great on the Pebble. The lithium will put out a little less voltage but the 1300ma batteries show a full charger when the pebble gets turned on and will last for several 2 hour sessions.

Awesome to know that there are some good lithium ion 9V batteries available. The ones I bought were from Amazon:

I did a little testing and posted more info about them over in the E-Stim Remote forum.
