Power source adaption

Is ther any way to power my Series1 from a mains fed power adaptor.

Any info will be gratefully accepted.

Its not something we would recommend as you would have zero protection from any mains faults. The Series 1, unlike the 2B does not have an isolated output.

Thanks for the info. I won't go that route then as it might be a bit risky.
I was thinking that I could probably link some batteries (3.6v rechargeable) in series and power my unit that way.
Do you think the Series1 would handle the resulting 14.4v?

Its not something we would recommend, and could damage your Series 1. We can normally tell if components have failed due to over voltages being applied, so your lifetime guranentee would be invalid as well resulting in a chargeable repair.
