Connection possibilities

The powerbox that started it all. No longer manufactured and replaced by the new ElectroHelix, but still a popular unit.

Connection possibilities

Post by BH1 » Sun Dec 21, 2014 2:52 pm

So the Series 1 has 2 outputs, but it has only one channel.
I'm not into electrical engineering at all, but I just had some questions that popped into my head (usually when this happens stuff breaks, so I haven't tried):

- What would happen if you would connect both outputs to the same rubber loops (the red ones on one loop and the black ones on the other loop)?

- What happens if you use both outputs, but only use one contact point from both cables? So for example, the red one from output 1 on rubber loop 1, and the black one from output 2 on rubber loop 2? (making sure the 2 remaining loose ends are not connected to anything). Would this be the same as using just one output?

- What would happen if you were to use a triphase cable and 3 electrodes? Would it work at all? Would one electrode feel twice as strong?

With two connections but only one channel you can get some interesting effects mainly the apparent grounds moving around. So in certain circumstances it will work in others you will find no response.

Generally you are not going going to damage the power box, so the answer is to experiment.

Triphase generally needs two channels as the disparity between channels give part of the effect.

Triphase on the 2B is fantastic but I didn't think it worked on the series 1.

I believe this would work, but the overall output would be weaker because the power is split between the two outputs and the extra length of cable.

I don't think this works and there is no reason to do so anyway. One output alone is the best overall output of power.

Again, I believe this would work, but the output would be so low you would barely feel it because it's spread through 2 outputs and 3 contact points...Sounds more like you're looking for 2b features. If you have both a series1 and 2b, you can setup some interesting combinations. I had both connected to an insertable/loops/sound using a combination of the triphase and regular cables. Just experiment!

As the outputs of the Series 1 are driven from the same signal source they are in fact in sync and identical. Both outputs have current limiting resistors.
If you use 2 output cables and connect the 2 red plugs to a conductive rubber loop, one each end, and the 2 black plugs to another conductive loop you will get a big increase in the current passing between the electrodes. You actually only need the red cable doubled up as the black leads are directly connected together already.
There will not be a doubling of the actual current but enough to make a huge difference and certainly worth the cost of an extra cable set.
I can take one channel at all settings, but using double cables and 2 conductive loops I can achieve a HFO after a few minutes playing with the power and pulse/feel controls on continuous mode.
I am over 65 and had not had any sort of "gasm" for years. This is the best feeling and doesn't even need a boner (viagra induced) to work.
If you find the Output a bit weak try this, you might be surprised.
