Post by MsTreat »

Any ETA on when there will be an update to the 2B to allow it to work with the remote functions in the smartstim software, btw? :)

Its more like an update on the SmartStim Software to work with the 2B. I know Climberr is working on it, but these things take time.

We are also working on our own version, and there is another thread from another user about an android app for the 2B.

hi,

I made specific changes to Smartstim Version 4 to enable it to work with a 2b.

As owners know , you cant have BOTH data and audio control at the same time . i.e. play an audio or session track in SS 4 and control the cha/b power out of a 2b .

However , you need a different approach to effect the same outcome .

Specifically .

1 - load in a session track with the volume set at 100% and MANUALLY adjust your cha/b power level to your `highest tolerance` setting
2- now you can play the track and adjust its VOLUME level during play in SS 4 manual control window. ie start off with low volume and increase as needed.

( Simply put ... if 100% volume is highest level at trodes which is say 50 on 2b , then having 50% volume gives coresponding 25 out level on 2b .. i.e. change the track volume to change the power out , just as you would do with an mp3 player )

The changes I made to SS 4 are to make controlling the manual window VOLUME control easier . ( previously it was in sub menues and hard to use easily ).

This means you can now control the audio tracks and their volume so theirfore cha/b power out levels.

I took this aproach because in reality , thats what the majority of users of SS 4 do . i.e. play audio and want unit power out control.

2b users of SS 4 will have to modify the existing 300+ sessions containing multipul tracks so they dont start at 100% .

This aproach also means 2b users can now also participate in the SS 4 remote network stim, both p2p and group .

e.g. start a new remote session room , maybe call it 2b users , and all those in that room understand your on a 2b unit and any driver can play/drive acordingly.

I will add 2b control to SS 4 external devices later , but that will only give you direct 2b control at data / unit level . However, most remote stim users dont do `direct unit control` , but a mixture of both audio and unit control. i.e. drive at audio level .

have fun
