New firmware "feel"?
I'm new to the forum but have had a 2B for awhile. Been thinking about buying a digital link kit to try the new firmware. For those that are using the developer firmware, what do you like about it? Does it "feel" any differently than 2.105? Is it worth the cost of the link kit if you are only interested in firmware updates and not the Commander or online remote?

Yes, I'd definitely say so but that's just my opinion. The current 'official' firmware version is 2.106 which offers small improvements over 2.105 and a slightly smoother feel. It's stable, it works and the stereo mapping is right.
Everything else available in the Developer's Forum is a beta firmware version. Many folk seem to mistakenly believe a beta is something better, an upgrade the developers are hiding away for their own use. It's not. A beta is an imperfect test run. There are some features you might like and others you will hate. Your favourite mode might not feel as good, or even stable. No beta version can be considered completely stable or it wouldn't be a 'beta'. Something is fixed here and another problem pops up there.
OTOH the most recent beta is getting close to something ready for general release with many new, advanced features giving more user control over aspects such as tempo and 'feel'.

Re: New firmware "feel"?
I have the uplink and cable purely for the firmware update capacity, as I'm not interested in the Commander or online remote capabilities. I've been trying the beta versions of the firmware and there are definitely some good things on the way for the next full release. There will be new modes which don't appear in the current full firmware release, and the feel is smoother, so in my opinion, for these reasons the cost of the uplink software and cable are justified.

Thank you for the feedback.
In the past, has E-Stim Systems offered any sales/discounts around the upcoming holidays?

So how does one (myself) get their hands a "current Beta" version?
