What is your favorite way to use the audio input function?
Hi all,
I'm getting my 2b in a couple of days and I'm most excited to use the audio function to import audio files. What technique do you like the best? Do you like custom sounds while watching porn? Watching porn with a synced audio track? (still trying to read a out how to make a custom stim track for my own videos) Suggestions? How do you 2b?

Yep, for sure. Large screen TV with a handheld mp3 player - Fantastico! I like to start with glamour porn, Playboy-type stuff, then move on to 'action' videos.
I've tried directly synching stim-audio with video but didn't find it in any way important. Any stimfile you like will work fine with any porn video. They don't need to be synched IMHO.

Re: What is your favorite way to use the audio input function?
I'm still wrestling with how to set up my 2b audio function to work best. I have my laptop wired to my television with an HDMI cable and out to my stereo amp. I have plenty of video to watch from my computer and TV and I can also download any mp3 files to my computer and play them through the TV. I can easily run a headphone line from the amp to the 2b. A separate mp3 player would be best, but I don't have one other than my android phone which I could use.
Do you know if I turn my notifications on silent while play mp3 files through headphones whether that would work or would that create a problem if the phone rings even if the ringer is turned off?

Yeah, you can use your Android phone no problem. Put the phone in "aeroplane mode" (aka - flight mode, offline mode, or standalone mode). This should stop all unwanted audio interruptions that would otherwise be 'felt' as small jolts.

I use my "spare" Android phone for stimming, and it works perfectly well. I don't have it on "airplane" mode though, as sometimes I like to stream estim tracks from services such as Bandcamp. All I do is turn it to the "do not disturb" mode, and ensure that all calls, alarms and notifications are silenced (ensure there are no priority callers allowed).
On a laptop, you do have the option to get a USB sound adaptor and use one sound output for the TV side of things, and reserve the other for playing just your audio tracks (e.g. using a player such as VLC Media Player, assigned to a specific output), so that might be worth exploring.

Yes putting the phone in airplane mode isn't an option for me since I do get calls and texts that I eventually check on. When my phone is on. My gf likes to call me when she is at work and she might get suspicious if the phone goes right to vm. I'm not sure if do not disturb sends calls right to vm either. Perhaps just silencing notifications completely would do the trick. Want to avoid raising the "why did your phone go right to voicemail?" question

I fully understand that. In which case, the "do not disturb" setting might not be an option, and "airplane mode" is definitely out. Presumably you could set your phone just to vibrate, so you'd get some level of notification of incoming calls, wihtout sending an audio signal to the 2B. However, you'd also need to be able to explain why you sound out of breath on answering!

There are three solutions to your dilemma:rjkstim wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2020 10:54 am My gf likes to call me when she is at work and she might get suspicious if the phone goes right to vm. - Get yourself a dedicated, handheld mp3 player
- Get yourself a new girlfriend
- Tell her what you are doing

Got my unit today!
That's a long way between choices lol. There's a 4th choice that ended up being the answer. Turning off notifications worked even when a call came through. I have an audio splitter into my phone headphone jack. One plug goes to the 2b and one to the headphones. Even when a call came through it didn't go into the unit.
Does stimming affect your sex life? Do you stim with your wife? How have you made this fit into your relationship? Are you stimming in place of sex with your wife? How does she feel about it even though she knows?

Hello,
One good way to use the audio input is with films with "binaural beats". You can find some on your favorite video platforms. Not all are good, but with some you can have a good time. You must try out how feel the films. And have one hand always near the volume buttons because the loudness is very different from film to film. I use this films sometimes with a triphases setup.
