Hi,
I have a number of question about using audio input and stimfiles on the 2B. I briefly tried out the stereo input on my 2B using a music track from my iPhone but it was rather underwhelming. So what is the attraction?
1. Do you need to play specialised audio files?
2. If they are special, how are they created?
3. What makes them so different from the output you can achieve using the existing modes on the 2B?
4. Is one of the attractions that you don't need a computer to play them, i.e. you could play them from a phone or mp3 player?
Many thanks for any insight that more experienced users can offer.

Hi TDG
For advice on using audio files in Stereo Mode see this post: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9670&p=14169#p14169

Yep.
Dedicated estimers have created stimfiles over many years using tone generators and suitable software. They have shared these among the estim community for others to enjoy.
The 2B has 15 inbuilt modes/programs/routines. These are only the beginning of what the 2B can do for you. Imagine an infinite number of 'modes', that's what stimfiles have to offer. To me this represents the very best of estim. They open up a whole new world of unlimited sexual pleasure - once you've been down that road there is no turning back.
Maybe. You can use any audio device but IMHO a computer screen is a distraction, and distractions are the enemy of the male orgasm. But that's just my personal opinion so it's fine to play stimfiles through all devices, mp3 player, smartphone or computer.

Re: Questions about audio and stimfiles
Hi Stimaddict,
Many thanks for the quick reply. I guess I should have expected the "infinite modes" bit.
I'll follow up on the software that birdburdy mentioned in their reply too. I quite enjoy writing software and sound isn't an area I've explored much before. I was wondering if there is any mileage in writing a graphical based estim audio file generator. I was thinking along the lines of drag and drop patterns or shape editors (but that might be very ambitious). No promises, but would this be of any value to anyone? Probably going to be written in Java if it ever gets done because of its cross-platform support and good GUI development tools.

Re: Questions about audio and stimfiles
E-Stim Systems say the Stereo mode was designed for use with music files. However, I have to say that - like tdg - I've always been totally underwhelmed by the experience. I've tried many different styles of music too, from classical to drum 'n' bass, but nothing has excited me. However, I've had a lot more success with made-for-play audio stim files (provided the frequencies lie within the range the 2B can use).
