Hi All,

since the demise of smartstim we have a number of new users joining our forum, to which we welcome you, however we have also noticed an uptick in posts regarding hacks, cracks, so called clone units and homebuilt devices including some electrodes. As this forum is run and supported by a UK company E-Stim Systems, we have to tread carefully when it comes to the subjects of safety and copyright. We are unable to allow discussions on homebuilt items as allowing such discussions would potentially involve us in issues of liability, and as a business we cannot accept posts regarding cracking or copying of other e-stim units, or their software, even if they are from a competitor or are no longer produced.

• We DO NOT allow posts asking for copyrighted software, cracks or menthods to circumvent copy protection. Even if you think the author is deceased. In that case any ownership would transfer to their estate.

• We DO NOT allow any posts containing drug references, even if they are legal in your country. This forum is based in the UK, and therefore is required to operate under, and is governed by UK law..

We DO allow posts and actively encourage regarding audio routines and session files that YOU have created, and YOU therefore own the copyright. 'It's in the public domain' is not an argument we can accept, if you don't own the copyright, then please do not post the file on our forum.

Lastly

• If you want access to a certain stim file archive, then you need to PM the poster. Cannot PM?Then you need to engage with the forum, you need 3 posts to be able to send PMs, so say hi, introduce yourself, give other people the experience of your experience.

Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning, then a BAN.

That's all very fair and reasonable. This forum is a free resource and a pretty tolerant one IMHO. It's perfectly understandable that anyone posting here must comply with board rules and whatever the Admin considers acceptable.

On a similar note we are seeing an uptick in the number of generally new people who are reporting other peoples messages as spam, even when they are clearly not, and are trying to help. If you don't want to answer a PM then please just use the delete button, or a simple thanks but no thanks to the originator but reporting posts or PMs as spam involves needless additional work for the mods.

It would be nice for people who complain actually contribute to the forum rather than just complaining when someone is offering help or advice.

I for one would like to thank the owners, operators and admins (often a thankless task in my experience) of this forum for providing this brilliant resource. The products made are first class, especially the electrodes.

I’ve just done this. It’s because the report as spam button looks to a newbie like the ‘reply’ button. Totally accidental, sorry to the person who I won’t name, who I was trying to reply to. Didn’t mean to report you!
