2B universal power replacement

Post by OBD »

My mains power adapter no longer supplies power properly. The cable has to be bent to work so that's not a good thing.
I'm in the US and want to know if there is anyone who carries a replacement.
Thanks

If you are not going to purchase direct from us, try Gary at happystim.com. Using a non approved no E-Stim systems power supply will invalidate your guarantee.

When shipping costs way more than the item I have to consider the option.
Thanks SI

We are actually looking at some changes to US shipping options. Unfortunately shipping around the world is always expensive but as they say watch this space….

hello,
personally I stopped buying power supplies for the 2b.
I have been using this cable for over a year, which allows you to power the 2b directly to a USB port. it works very well and the price is not expensive
Have a good day

What's the voltage going into the 2B, from the PSU?

It should be 9volts. what I've found from others is tht by using an exterior power supply at more than 9volts, and pre-recorded sessions such as those that can be downloaded from here can pack a far bigger punch than intended. A typical 9v battery will drop to just under 8v in a couple of hours use, so you record a session at 8 volts. You then replay it using a 12 v power supply and you then have 50% more power than you intended. BEWARE!!

The adapter is 12V, hence the 30% more power they advertise.

And yes, that would also increase power for pre-recorded session using the battery.
Maybe you coud use relative power in the sessions instead.
