Not new to estim - have manged to achieve hands free orgasm but struggle getting / maintaining erection until almost point of orgasm - am I doing something wrong or is that 'normal'?

From my limited experience (started e-stim 2019) & at 81, I can only try to remember how I was, 60 years ago. Some days I was walking around with a seemingly permanently hard on. frequent wanking needed! Now I have on prescription Tadalafil 10mg & within about an hour, with stimulus I get a semi. For me, Anal and or electric stimulation doesn't cause and even will make me lose erection. A c-ring slows the process, but even then, gone after a minute or so with anal penetration and not much longer with e-stim... There is one setting with the 2B that forces an erection as hard as I've ever had in life (and harder than any since my 20's): continuous with adjust at 27 or 28. A metal ring around glans and the other electrode being just about anything so far (base and head of moaner and flo all work, as well as shaft or c-ring).

I figure machines and bodies all different, but the setting for me feels like a smooth buzzing/ squeezing pressure vibration has a repeating cycle, but sensation also seems to move or roll between electrode locations. Other settings, for me, don't have the sense of internal motion for the stimulation. I don't know if there a connection between how my nerves respond to the signal creating the perceived movement of sensation and the forced erections (I only have 1 data point, lol), but it's the only occurrence of each for me so far and has been consistent (knock wood). I have posted, previously, my opinion regarding erection issues & have attached a photo of my technique. Remember, I now live alone, so penetrative sex is not required. However, who doesn't like to see a good hard one, even if its just for show.

Further to my previous post with photo, here is another angle of my way of temporarily holding a good hard during play.
