I was thinking the other day about how to de-couple the audio track running the 2B (or any e-stim box with audio input) and the audio track that you would be listening to (possibly as part of a video) and was wondering if making use of 5.1 channel surround sound would do the trick. I like the idea of having a video (with all the normal sounds) driving the e-stim box by a separate track that has more do do with whats going on in the screen. For example, each thrust in a porn video could ramp the e-stim up and down to "mimic" what's going on in the screen, even if there is no normal audio associated with the thrust.
I just ordered one of these USB controlled external sound cards off amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/Startech-Com-Adap ... 919&sr=8-3) and plan to try it out by using wavepad to convert a stereo e-stim audio file over to channels 4 & 5 of a 5.1 channel signal, then use Shotcut to overlay those channels on top of a video with stereo sound and export the video with a 5.1 channel audio track. Amazon says it will be delivered Monday, but my fingers are crossed it gets here before the weekend
I'll be glad to let you all know how it goes, but I can't help but think I'm not the first one with this thought. Has anyone else tried this before?
