There is another aspect in making a splitting adapter yourself:
You could exchange the polarity in one of the two outputs.

Then you could use it to quickly change the polarity just by unplugging your electrode cable from one and plugging it into the other output.

Of course you should turn down the level of intensity to zero before the change since sensations could differ a lot.

There is no positive or negative output with the 2B. All stimboxes use a form of alternating current waveform because DC can be dangerous when stimming your tender bits. Confusion arises coz of the red/black coloured cables but they do not denote polarity.

Yes, I know that its not DC coming out of the 2B.
But you will agree: If you exchange red and black on your electrodes the feeling is "different".

"Different" may be better sometimes and sometimes not - depending on the general setup, placement of electrodes, mood etc. etc.

Most of the time it is annoying to exchange black and red on all your pads / electrodes. So you wont try it because too much plugging and unplugging needs time and distracts from what you really want !

That is why I made a splitting output (Y-cable) with exchanged red and black in one of the two outputs.

At the risk of getting way too technical there are many ways to explain what positive and negative means in an AC context. By definition Alternating Current is an electric current that reverses its direction many times a second at regular intervals, typically used in household power supplies. When it comes to stimming we are talking about waveform output. Proper estim signals are Alternating Current (AC), which is not considered to have polarity because the polarity reverses so rapidly. This is called "biphasic".

Erotic stim units, including the 2B, have biphasic (AC) output, which changes polarity once for each pulse of the waveform. The beginning and ending half-pulses must be opposite polarity, usually beginning with a positive waveform half and ending with a negative waveform half. Biphasic waveforms have two phases, an active phase and a balancing phase. In the active phase positive current travels into the tissue, and during the balancing phase negative current returns. A mirror image of the waveform at one electrode occurs at the other electrode.

What this means is that red or black wires on either channel (A or B) of the 2B have equal positive and negative "pulses" so the wires are interchangeable, i.e. they have no polarity. Some output cables don't have different colours to avoid this confusion.

Incidentally a few TENS or EMS units have a Direct Current (DC) "monophasic" pulsed signal, which does have polarity, but these are strictly for medical use and not suitable for erotic stimulation purposes because of the increased possibility of burns.
