Two ET312B units can be connected in a master slave configuration, the slave unit mirrors the master unit, this providing four channels controlled from one unit.
Is it possible to achieve a similar setup with two 2B?

Not at the moment. We have considered it but not many people use two units so it was never continued

This feature might be a good reason encouraging people to buy a second 2B

Nope. We used to have that and it caused too much confusion with users and complexity in design.

Commander is designed to control the 2B from a laptop and record and playback sessions.

Connect is designed for control over the internet. Keeping the two separate makes things easier to use, support and develop

what about having the Commander to output to multiple 2B units?

not planned at the moment.... the issue is running multiple serial ports, and then dealing with the possibility of different units responding at different times. Commander does actually monitor the 2B when it sends data to it.

The setup with two ET312Bs requires only a null modem cable. A solution with a Commander controlling two (or more ) 2Bs, might also be elegant, but involves a third device, a laptop, which isn't always playroomproof.
