What are the differences between "stereo mode" and "advanced stereo mode" on 2B V 2.122B ?

So far as I can tell, the only difference is that Stereo Mode doesn't work with power map C and Advanced Stereo Mode does.
If there is any other difference, I'd like to know about it.
