advice for almost-new 2b users

Post by toniacca916 »

After much hesitation, I purchased a 2b to accompany my stereostim box.
Do you have any advice on how to approach me? as well as obviously reading the instruction manual carefully.
I purchased a used kit but complete with power supply and USB cable.
The 2b currently has firmware 2.105, is it advisable to update immediately?

It is probably worth using it with the existing firmware first to get an idea what it can do and how it feels before updating it.

Definitely eventually worth updating to the latest beta version, adds some new modes flo, cycle and twist which are nice, but also a lot more settings like maps etc to configure to your own taste. That is where it helps to know what it felt like before updating.

Think v2.126 is freely available to download, but you would need to request joining the Developers forum to access the latest beta v2.127.

Have fun and enjoy the box.

Hey Sam,

what firmware version is it you're telling about modes like flo, cycle and twist? Is this already within 2.126?

Seems like I have an link cable soon, since I would love to have some new interesting modes. Will order one and I hope it will be worth.

Thanks in advance for your answer
