I am enjoying the 2b! Trying figure out best way to use audio files with my laptop. I have used the headphone jacks and cable that came with the 2b. I can still hear the audio waves the the laptop speakers. With no movement of the 2b screen. Unlike the microphone, the screen bars can be seen.

Is there a different way? Or I missing something?

dunno? if you use windows or a mac but back when I used windows I always had to go into the audio settings from the taskbar to chose an audio device to route sounds to by right clicking the speaker icon and then going into properties to select the headphone output over the laptop's internal speakers.

I always had problems using the headphone socket on my laptop as it contains the circuitry for the microphone aswell. I ended up with volume issues. In the end I bought a really cheap mp3 player and put my 2b files on that. It worked pefectly.

An MP3 player is an easy way to deal with audio files. Many years ago I saw a recommendation to get a second sound card for my PC, which meant I could reserve one sound card for just my e-stim output via its headphone socket, with all other sounds going through the default sound card (to speakers etc.). This enabled me to watch porn videos with sound through the speakers while stimming, and it also prevented any notifications (e.g. email arrival) being routed to my 2B. In those days, it had to be an internal sound card, but nowadays you can get the same result with sound cards that connect to a USB port, I think.

If there is audio from the laptop speakers, the audio is likely playing through the wrong device. Try changing the output device in settings. Alternatively, play files in something like VLC Player that lets you play through specific output devices (Audio > Audio Device).

On a related note, I've had issues with laptop audio jacks for my 2B, solved by disabling the mic completely. On recent version of Windows it was Settings > System > Sound > More sound settings, and then disable or disconnect any unused devices.

Sub note: After practicing with the unit and cable. I have figured it out. What a great experience. I am so happy with my 2b.
