Thats a definite help. If you drop the input levels does it still occur?

No, if I drop the input level it stops.

Thats what I thought looking at the video. I think its probably a bug in the peak detector code, so I'll have a look around there. I'm working on the new firmware this weekend, I'll check if it still exists in 2B.009 and look to fix it in the next Beta release. We generally suggest not running the 2B so its peaking all the time as you are going to loose some of the nuances of the audio, but it shouldn't change the sampling system when it does peak.

This also happened the first time I used my 2b in audio mode. I had the volume on the source (iPad) up to max and as the sound was coming in I saw the values change spontaneously.

I am also seeing this on my 2b (firmware 2B.104). It does seem to happen when the output is high but I also see it when it is low (limiting the response value to less than 3). What is the status of this issue? Has this been addressed in recent beta firmware?

Recent firmware has undergone major changes on the audio side, but its still ongoing
