Yes, rechargable batteries have a limited lifecycle but still the most practical an economical alternative. I have spent a lot of money on new ordinary batteries over time. Rechargable also most environmentaly friendly in a long run.

Yes and no. They cause massive issues when being made (seen a Rare Earth mine?) , equally similar issues when they are disposed of. They are also getting hard and hard to ship with more airlines restricting them due to fires. In addition they never seem to have the longevity advertised, which is an issue for us selling a product with a lifetime guarantee - which is considerably more environmental friendly . And the biggest issue for us as players is the time it takes to recharge, because they always go flat in the middle of a play session!!!

I still favour mains supply over batteries every time, as I'm usually in one place for stimming, and near to a power socket.
