Question about channels

Hi, just ordered my 2B pro pack today, and am awaiting it's arrival tomorrow.

However, I am curious as to whether or not all the modes can be used using only one output channel?

Also, if I do decide to use both channels A, and B does this mean that I need to have 4 electrodes connected to me for it to all work together?
