what is your favourite option for fast cum? My is:

Hi,
can someone please help me and explain how the 'step' mode actually works on the 2B?.
I've tried selecting it and then turning up the channel intensities on both A & B channels and also turning the adjust knob when 'step' is selected but it seems to do nothing on my new 2B ?.
Does 'step' influence the output of the 2B's other modes? or is it a mode in itself ?.
Apologies in advance for being a bit thick here, probably yet another! senior moment on my part but I just can't get what 'step mode' does from reading the manual either.
